Stay hood opener - difficult to remove from hood

Does anyone have any challenges in connecting the stay hood opener to the hood or taking it out to close the hood?
I have to wiggle it out a few times to get it out. I never had this issue with other Acura or Honda.

If you're having a hard time getting it in and out maybe enlarge the hole a bit with a metal file until its to your liking. You shouldn't have an issue in the first place getting it in and out, but you never know.

Even tho the hood is aluminum and wont "rust", I think trimming the plastic would be a better solution. It is designed to catch in case you bump the hood the stay wont drop out.
It is a square peg with teeth stuck into a square hole and if not lined up correctly, it will catch; on purpose.
