TLX Dealer Inventory
So, in searching TLX inventory through NC, GA, SC, and VA I found that it was common that most dealerships (even the large ones) had on average 5 or less TLXs in stock with some very few lucky ones having as many as 12. Well, low and behold, Pohanka has 31 in stock! 10 L4s and 21 V6s, seems like they have a got a choke hold on the TLX inventory in the Mid-Atlantic and SE. Does anyone know how dealers get their allotments? Leith and Performance in the Triangle move a pretty good number of vehicles but between the two they've only received 4 with 3 remaining.

Do they actually have them physically on their lot or are they listing them on their website?

Acura of Boston lists 23, but I know they don't have all of them on their lot. I think this is a tactic some dealers are using to get folks in the door. They have some of them and the others are what they expect to receive.

The Acura I went to this week only had 3 in stock, all of which had the ugly espresso interior color. I know they're manufactured in Ohio so the closer the dealership is to there may make a difference on their stock.

There are 20 total in Houston and no I4's yet. One dealer has 10 of them. They (John Eagle) were also the first dealer to get them.
BTW I found this website that consolidates all the inventory from the dealerships in Houston. Maybe other large cities have a similar website.

Look like I need to get to John Eagle to see the BWP/Expresso combo. I'd go now but the traffic would be a nightmare Friday in Houston.. though going up hiway 6 would not be so bad

The dealer near me has a white/espresso in the Advanced trim. Might take my wife by to look at it this evening. It is inside the showroom, they have a base V6 to test drive.

There's only 13 listed for the two Acura dealers in STL. I'm going to guess that number will rapidly increase as STL is a fairly big market for Acura I think. Only a few four cylinder models that just popped up recently. No SHAWD as noted by everyone else.
The nationwide total on cars.com is about 1500. If they want this thing to sell like the MDX I'm guessing they will eventually get it up to MDX levels of inventory - which has never been all that high (~30 days supply). I initially thought they'd be lucky to hit ~1500 units in the first month because they couldn't build enough but now, with what we are hearing from everyone, they might get well past that.

Three Wheelin'
It's all a matter of taste. The 17" wheels look better live than in photos. I considered them briefly for my V6 as winter rims but they are too pricey. It is 19" ones that seem like just too much bling! I hand clean my rims after a wash those look like a lot of extra work.

McDavid in North Austin has 4, Sterling in South Austin has 4. All are V6's with the one advance and three techs at McDavid and three Advanced and one tech at Sterling.

Happy to provide if I can figure out how to do it. Added fog lights and will be tinting windows. Visited it today but dealer could not complete transaction till Monday. Pretty stoked, I liked the feel of the I4 better than the FWD V6. Just my opinion. Both are great though IMO. Soooo much better value than the IS or A4 I also looked at. Said I would not wait but I did. Very happy I did too.

If I were you guys who are looking for specific combos, I'd call before driving (and hopefully you won't be lied to just to get you in the dealership). I went to a couple of dealerships that show they have inventory of specific combos, but they weren't there when I got there. They were either sold or haven't been put out on the lot, I guess. From talking with a couple of dealers, they really are selling these things pretty fast. I went again today and cars that were there a few days ago aren't any longer. I went to check on a graphite one with the 19" rims and body kit that I saw a few days ago, but somebody apparently had bought it off the showroom floor. There was actually a waiting line to drive the TLX at this particular dealership (not a huge one - maybe 3 families/individuals).
So anyways, I'm saying if you see 10-20 TLX's on a dealership website, call and make sure they're really available to look at before driving out there.

Stopped by Palm Beach Acura this morning. They had about 8 in stock. All V6. One advanced. They had Fathom Blue, Basque Red, Black, Graphite & White. Red & white were sold, and AFTER I signed the credit app and accepted the terms, the salesman said that they had placed 10 new orders while I was there. In other words, he wasn't trying to make me think that I better buy now before they are all gone, because I had already agreed to terms (which I will post in another thread). I must say, the showroom was quite busy and they were also having their launch party (free sandwiches, woohoo).

"That's it, dude! We got ten orders. Acura's not making any more"

Heading to Pohanka tomorrow actually. It's the biggest acura dealer in the nation and caters to everyone north of richmond and south of baltimore... but even I agree that 31 is a bit extreme

Denver and Boulder have 31. For whatever reason Colorado Springs received 1, sold it and they have not received any more. Colorado Springs and the Littleton dealer in Denver like to slap additional dealer markup stickers on their cars...charging $55 bucks for nitrogen. The last time I visited the Acura dealer in Colorado Springs they had an additional $995.00 Rocky Mountain Profit. At least they were up front about it. I hope to have a V6 Advance in my driveway by the end of the month. I'll try Colorado Springs but I have a feeling I'll be driving the 100 miles to Boulder for this car.

They were actually pretty nice there. No real pressure or anything like that. And their service department seemed real nice. And while I was in service, another customer told me how their service department is the best around. So far, I've been very pleased with them.
