Saw a TLX

Hey everyone,

So i was driving through the GTA Region (Toronto area for those not from Canada), and was on the 401 Eastbound. See this Silver Acura coming Westbound, caught my eyes immediately, and right away i knew it was a TLX. It looked like it had the body kit also, thing looked amazing. Better than the pictures. Changed my whole perspective of this machine. I was so suprised to see it, becuase i was told that none would be available until mid August. And i am 110% sure this was a TLX. No Doubt. Maybe it's a Honda Canada press car or something, because Honda has an office in the GTA area. But it could also be a dealer demo, as it did have an Ontario plate, and not a dealer plate.

the car is definitely sweet with the body kit. But at 3200 for it... ugh so painful.

Also, that is definitely a press car. The body kits are only offered in black and white right now according to my dealer

Here's another Silver one - tweeted out by Torqunews - not sure where they're located.

I saw one driving around the Columbus, OH area last week. I was on the interstate and it was driving the other way but still. It was definitely a TLX. The Jewel Eyes really stand out and make Acura's pretty immediately identifiable.

Those pics look good IMO. Looking forward to reading about the test drives - which should be coming out very soon.

Anyways, I see an open bar in the pic above. Yummy!

The rear looks too much like the 2nd generation TSX. I'll hold off judgement until I see one in person, but based on pics, I am still not sold on the styling.

They must be reading A-zine as they are trying SOOO hard to capture the prototype look. It looks like a young man spent too much time in the Autozone accessory isle, too tacked on.

Yup that's the one. I distinctly remember the License plate starting with "BT.."

It really looked great from the front end.

If they were actually reading, they would have offered you guys the prototype bumpers and begging you for mercy.

But yeah, don't like the kit. The TLX doesn't really need one (contrary to say the 1G TSX), IMO.

Wish there were some better photos with the complete kit. My 04 Aspec still looks great. Not sure if the new car will look as good.

True, with that spoiler it does give it a TSXish look. First time I've seen it that way. It surely doesn't have that look without the spoiler.

Rear bodykit? lol. C'mon Acura. I can say for certain that look is just not gonna grow on me.

I think the problem with the lip spoiler is that its too big/wide. I think something more subtle like the ILX or even the Accord would have been better. I wonder if a wing spoiler could have looked good. Nothing something ridiculous either.

TLX 's are all over NW Columbus/Dublin, Oh.
Honda employees can check them out for a few days to test and comment.

You nailed it weather. That's exactly what I was saying earlier regarding the spoiler. The entire kit just looks sloppy and quickly thrown together. It's not refined enough to "compliment" the subtle refined design of the TLX itself. The end result is it contrasts and distracts from the clean and subtle design of the body itself.
