An improvement. If only the emblem/badge was a bit smaller too. The emblem also seems to stick out more. It would look better if it was more recessed .

i have fixed the grille since these pictures which were all in the same day, emblem pushed back and aligned to the T!!!!

 

I think it would look much better with a smaller emblem, but it makes your TLX unique, so props to you. It seems like a really clean install too.

 

Im just going to assume it was hacked up to kinda fit and ziptied in there. Lets see some detailed pics and a DIY.

I seen this post a couple days ago and didn't realize what is different, I clicked it again today and still did not realize what was different. Finally I realized what you did and I 100% think it is a MASSIVE improvement. What I am trying to say is that it looks super clean and OEM like. I also agree that the A is TOO big. I wish Acura would have done this instead of the floppy mustache pentagon grille. Furthermore that old style pentagon shape dates back to the 90's Acura. They should have kept it, people like heritage in a brand. Not a brand that changes design/goals on a yearly basis.

I'm impressed, I honestly expected this project to come out terribly but you did a great job. I still prefer the front of the newer model but yours is much improved and you're going to confuse quite a few people including the dealership I bet.

Great mod and great job. Totally looks OEM, 100%. Would love to do the same to my 16' ILX A-Spec.

I personally think the emblem size is just right. My problem with it is it's sitting behind that glossy cover. It should have stayed opened and 3-dimensional like the prior one. The glossy cover gives it a "cheap" visual look-n-feel to it.
