considering buying a 2017 tlx tech or base model
Hello friends, I am planning on buying a 2017 tlx from auction and i am torn between getting the base model or the tech model.
can you guys tell me what made you choose one model over the other? any input will be greatly appreciated. thank you my fellow acura lovers!
p.s - I was hoping to spend around 22k max so if i choose the tech package it will prob be around higher miles as opposed to the base model with lower mileage.

The tech gets you: Navigation, blind spot monitor, forward collision warning, road departure warning, real leather perforated seats, and ELS surround sound stereo. If you care about that stuff, GET THE TECH. Its probably only $1,000-$2,000 more to get the tech pkg on the used market. You can find a 2017 4cyl tech for your price range with reasonable miles. I would personally get the tech even if it meant 10K more miles or whatever it is.
But why a 2017? Why not a 2015 or 2016, its the same thing, but you'll spend a little less from the depreciation.

I do get why you would want to avoid a 2015, but really, condition matters more than miles. Why pay more for a car with 10k less miles than the other car, when it'll have those 10K extra miles racked up in a few months? Just saying!
I hope you find a good car, OP!

I just purchased a 17 base i love . The "fake" leather is still really comfortable. I drive around 25-30k miles year, and the base is plenty.
if money is no issue get the tech model, 2-3k extra won't make a difference
only thing i wish i had was car play, everything else i can love without, in fact probably wouldn't use.
Buy a car that make you happy, dont worry about how much the car will be worth in 3-4 years.
If nav and adaptive cruise, and real leather is important get it.
if it doesn't really make a difference, like i said the "fake" leather is nice and you can always upgrade the speakers

Get the tech. Long term you'll enjoy all the features, and like I said price difference in marginal.
I own a 2015 TLX SH-AWD Advance and only have 24,000 miles. I bought it brand new. My current daily driver is my 1999 4Runner with 285,000 miles.
Search online in your local market for what your looking for until you find that you like.
