Sounds like you only got the purchase incentive. There is $2000 more in lease incentives available, but the dealer doesn't have to give this to customers. All part of their game.
$2750 in incentives in total. Make your salesfolks aware that YOU know they are available, and if necessary print the info from Edmunds and take it with you.
My dealer has a bunch of PAWS A-Specs, but can't keep the SH-AWD in stock. The SH-AWD A-Spec is definitely a hit here in Cleveland.
Is it that or Acura did not make enough sh-awd aspecs? I hope Acura changes production mix and more inventory of shawd apecs is available going forward. Out of 5300+ inventory of 2018 TLX, only 1030 is with shawd. And only 84 with red interior (as per Autotrader).
Autotrader says 626 A-Specs, 195 of them SH-AWD. So if the SH-AWD is more popular in my (very snowy in the winter) area, that only means it's more popular in my area than the PAWS A-Specs. I think the only thing that will change is the product mix my local dealer orders down the road, depending on how sales go.

Acura should have done better job of linking shawd to performance like audi does with quattro and sports differential, shawd is one of its key differentiator for entry into premium segment. Without shawd, it is just a value player. "Need" for shawd should be converted to a "want".

$2000 are lease incentives, so you would have to lease, I assume ?

Absolutely loving my A-spec in white/red. What an amazing car. This car handles and drives like it's on rails. Acura is moving in the right direction.
My favorite features compared to my 2015 TLX:
1) Handling, ride, steering
2) Interior design- red leather, comfortable and supportive seats, silver trim vs. faux wood, red interior lighting, black headliner- lots of little details (I ordered with lighted Aspec sill plates and they are awesome).
3). Aggressive exterior lines- fog lights, exposed exhaust, rear diffuser, blacked out trim and lights.
What I wish for in the next version:
1) option for folding mirrors and heated steering wheel
2) option for carbon fiber trim
3) more exhaust sound (from outside the car)

Congratulations on your new car! Sounds like you're really enjoying it. I was wondering, even though you don't have the folding mirrors, do you at least have the puddle lights under the mirrors that activate as you approach the car?
We do have folding mirrors. They are manual, not motorized, however. I kinda miss this option but can live without it.
It's amazing how quiet the A-Spec's exhaust is from outside the car. I'm sure an aftermarket vendor will change that, however.

I haven't noticed this. Then again, I spend all my time in Sport mode, so I'm not sure I would. I'll look at this specifically the next time I'm driving, then get back to you.

Now I'm totally confused. I know you can't get the A-Spec in the US with the Advance features, but if it's a Tech, shouldn't there be a button next to the mirror controls that allows you to "manually" fold the mirrors in when you want to? I know the Advance (our Elite) has the automatically folding mirrors, but I thought the Tech has electrically powered folding mirrors, just not automatic ones.

US TLX's with power folding mirrors is only on the Advance. Tech doesn't have that, you'd have to manually push them with your hand to fold them. Looks like Canada TLX's with Tech package and above have the power folding mirrors.

Thanks for the clarification!
Actually, Tech package in Canada has the electrically folding mirrors (operated manually with a button), and Elite package has automatic electrically folding mirrors. Seems completely unfair to US customers.

I just replaced my 2007 Acura TL Type S (Kinetic Blue) with a 2018 Night Still ASPEC and couldn't be happier. I got a great deal on my trade in and the new car, just waiting to have the car started and illuminated door sills put in. Here are some pro's and con's.
Pros
- Apple CarPlay
- Technology - as a whole, this car has amazing technology. I also own a new Ford Explorer and it doesn't even compare.
- Driver Usability - again I think they have put thought into the usability of the technology, steering wheel controls, etc.
- Autodoor locks when walking away
Cons
- Two screens - I will always be using CarPlay which goes on the top screen, and is mostly on Spotify, its repeated in the middle screen. I wish you could change the middle screen to be something else
- Can't permanently turn off Auto Engine Off - I hate this feature, it makes the car slower off a stop and really how many car "starts" can a starter take.
- Middle Console storage could of been better designed
- No painted Rotors like on my 2007 (Brembo), I feel they will rust quickly
The car looks sexy in Black. Congratulations.
Are you planning on ceramic coating it? Or better yet...I guess the question is: what do you plan on doing to maintain it looking clean. I have never had a black car but most AZ'ners here had to work really hard to keep it clean.
Although I know I will be purchasing an A-spec in the near future, I still have not decided on a color. I am very interested in ceramic coating, regardless of the color I get. Right now white is the top choice since my favorite color "dark gray" is not as dark as I had hoped.
Im interested in hearing what black car owners think of maintenance to keep the car looking glossy and clean. Thank you
I just hit 1000 miles yesterday. Of course, I finally read the online manual to find that the actual engine break-in was only 600 miles. I don't feel so badly about almost reaching redline in Sport + mode a few days ago.
Sloppy305, I don't have black, but am planning on a glass coating, Kamikaze, to keep swirls away as best possible. I just need to schedule an appointment to get it done.

I'd be interested to know as well. Not too familiar with Ceramic or glass coating - but willing to make the investment if it can help protect the car long term.

Did you observe anything unusual in 4-5 gear shift?

The installer I use charges $300-600 depending on how many layers and which Kamikaze (glass coating) product. I plan a layer of Kamikaze Miyabi and a layer of Kamikaze ISM, since the car will be an outside car. This costs $600 and should last the entire time I am leasing the car. A single layer of Kamikaze's Miyabi is $300 and lasts 18 months.

Says this in the article: "We focused on the turbocharged four-cylinder that's ubiquitous to the class and is, for most models, the volume-selling engine." Maybe because Acura doesn't have that model?
Had my '18 Aspec AWD (white/red) in for window tint this morning. While my car was getting tinted, I was in the waiting room when a guy in a new 3-series pulled up. He went in the back to talk with the owner about getting tint for his car (while my car was getting tinted) and overheard a gem of a conversation:
BMW guy: what kind of car is this?
Tint guy: this is the new Acura
BMW guy: wow
Tint guy: this is the best looking acura I have ever seen.
BMW guy: is this how it comes?
Tint guy: bone stock, 40 miles on it
BMW guy: wow, wow. I had no idea acura had a car like this.
He easily spent the next few minutes ogling the car and likely regretting his choice
