The 1.9% interest rate will help it continue to move right along.

That kind of sales flies in the face of the reviewers, who either want the 4 cyl or the 6 cyl SH AWD.
Public sees it differently.

For all of the people crying over Acura..............There is a chance Acura will finish 4th in sales this year.
That's a lot of stupid people who's buying $30,000-$60,000 'fixed up versions of Hondas'.

All I know is, I love my SH-AWD. :-)

They've done well, and will continue to do well with the TLX. I saw two TLX's at Costco last night.
My wife has a '13 Accord EX-L. She loves it, too. It wOuld be hard to option it up to $35K, though, A Pilot optioned to $60K? That would be a big stretch, too.

I realized this morning as an MDX was coming towards me that led headlights are a great idea in that they are uniquely acura. They separate the brand in the same that the little led jewelry treatments separated audi years ago. I bet it could be argued those little led treatments kickstarted the audi brand. Bet the led headlights do the same for acura -- until everyone copies the look.

Guys!!!
Now we have for about 7 months TLX in the market and what do you think?
Honestly, I don't own one but from what I read and see, Acura TLX is a big success for Acura.

Sales peaked in October 14 & have been going down since. March, April, May will be important months.

It should be interesting now that Acura is its own thing and held to its own merits. I think the TLX is a step in the right direction.
I really think a performance model is necessary, but I'm not convinced the TLX Type S will be it. In fact, if I had to guess, I think the Honda Civic Type R might make a good starting point for an ILX Type R.

After reaching 10,000 miles, I am still happy with my purchase.

I think it's a great car, and I'm happy so far with my purchase. I think it's a step in the right direction and the problem that I read on forums and discussion boards is the perception more than the reality. I think lots of people have notions about this car without ever seeing it in person or actually driving it. I'm sure with any new car there are issues and hopefully Acura will keep developing and fixing as needed.

I have been doing research on TLX since last Dec and have learned a lot from this forum. I did test drive twice in the dealership for several different options, did not feel any of the quirks discussed on this board during those short drives.
However when I mentioned the transmission issue that one of my friends experienced to the sales consultant, he admitted Acura knew the issue and fixed it. I understand TLX is of great value, but every time I decided to proceed, the picture by reading some posts here of myself waiting on the left turn and the vehicle hesitating to do the shift stopped me. The issue may not be there at all, but it gets me psychologically. I am still on the fence trying to see which way to go.
In this sense, I don't believe TLX is a complete success, at least to me personally. I can live without this or that feature, but cannot if I am unlucky enough to get the underlying problematic one.
I really hope I am wrong. Thanks a lot!

I just love my TLX Advance, 35MPG, Exotic tech like PAWS, Cylinder deactivation, Cooled seats, Smart cruise with full auto stop, low speed follow and lane keep are just amazing and more acronyms than a Vietnam war vet makes this car a clear winner.

People have a habit of letting one oh crap wipe out 1000 "atta-boys"
Good luck in your choice
ps. Every car brand has reported issues of some kind or another, some better than others. No doubt that the TLX has growing pains for many

I wonder if dealer incentives will be better for April/May than they were in March?
On one hand, car companies know that people have that new car itch in the spring and tend to be more likely to buy so why need to provide discount?
On the other hand, all dealers want the business too so better deals are offered to draw a customer from one brand to theirs....

Overall, people are happy with their purchase and we see it in this forum and a few people that I know.
Acura TLX offers everything a normal driver wants...decent handling, amazing cabin, great AWD, all the necessary tech and decent design.

If Infiniti is selling 3-4K Q50s a month, it's only because of their different incentive plan, otherwise they will never achieve that kind of numbers.

I would say that the base TLX offers more than the average driver needs. Tech models and above offer all the features that a small minority relish and make them very competitive with other luxury cars costing thousands more.

From day 1, Acura's sales goal for the first year was 60K units. As long as there's no significant drop off in March numbers, it appears they'll hit that number - maybe more.
I do know that they are currently loading dealers up with inventory big time - so there may be an incentive program coming soon.

Production of 2015 canadian
TLX V6 fwd has stopped and there's a $4000 incentive advertised. Doesnt look good as although this is just one model it does have a knock on effect on others. Offering such a huge incentive just 6 months into production is scary. There's only $3000 on pilots, and that's antediluvian.

I've said it before; My current 2015 TLX/SH-AWD/Tech, is by far, the best of the 5 previous Acura's, I've leased.
They've done a tremendous job of noise insulation, ride quality, handling, technology, etc.
For the price, you can't beat it; you want cheap, buy a Yugo; lol

13,885 units are listed on cars.com nationwide - easily Acura's highest inventory figure for any model. The MDX only has about 8,000 listed as a comparison - the RDX has just over 7,000.
In fact the inventory number for the TLX is higher than any of the competition - its basically the same number as the 3 series...which sells at a much higher rate.
I'll be interested to see what the March sales number is - as long as the sales number remains strong it's no big deal but it's strange that they have so much inventory right now. Knowing that FWD V6 production is done for the year makes it a bit easier to understand as those models have to last through probably summer but still.
Loading up on inventory and then incentivizing is what got Cadillac into so much trouble with the ATS and CTS.
Again as long as the sales numbers are there it's fine but it is still somewhat worrying that so much inventory is building up.

Yeah I just scanned my dealer's inventory and it's gone up drastically in the past 2 weeks since I purchased. Nearly a third of their inventory (87) are FWD V6 Tech out of almost 300 total TLX. My salesman said that the SH-AWD is the most in demand around here and their inventory of SH-AWD Advance has doubled in two weeks to 19. It may be that they are off-loading their last run of '15 V6 FWD's.
They may also just be front-loading for the spring-Memorial Day selling season. People may also forget they wanted AWD when the grass starts turning green. We'll have to see March's sales numbers to see how it goes. There might be good deals to be had this spring for those in the market.

I know I am late to the discussion, but I think Acura is headed in the right direction again. It's easy to understand why many revere older models, they were great values. From the get go Acura has always been to me a "value" premium model. That's to say if you wanted a premium experience but could not afford it, you got an Acura.
As you can see from my profile, I have been a member here since 2000. I have moved in and out of the Acura scene, seen them evolve. Personally, I left when the 2009 TL came out. Now I am back in and see only good things coming.
To harp on the value theme again, look what you get in the base models, options galore. What does the base model of Audi or BMW get you. I'll beat a dead horse here, but you can quickly option yourself out of your price range on one of those. Acura is what it is. It's got the technology, the styling (if it fits you), and price. I have read so many reviews my head hurts. The majority are really positive. Sales numbers are not everything. I remember back in 1992 when I took a big chance and bought some new fangled car called the "Legend".
Cheers,

The TLX best month was last October with 4890 units. I think it was the combination of SHAWD's and I4s finally being at dealers in decent numbers and initial excitement over the model introduction. Acura is shooting for those numbers again it seems.
What would really help Acura is a solid showing in a comparison test in a major magazine.

Recently joined the TLX club and I'm enjoying it! Coming from a 2004 3G, the TLX is much improved in the areas that I care about such as ride quality, interior, ambient road noise, and of course the tech

Think there are hot & cold spots. This used to be TL land back in the 3G years. Big drop off with the 4G & so far have only seen 3 5G's on the road. Audi seems to have taken off here, many more than in the past. MDX is still very popular.

I don't know about you guys, but I've been seeing TLXs all over the place here in Los Angeles. I saw four today, three of them definitely i4 models. I've seen at least 15 of them over the past week, too. Makes me feel all tingly knowing that mine is the only SH-AWD model I've seen so far
Of course, it takes a special kind of idiot to buy an AWD car in an area where it's 99% useless
