Tpms
Tpms
I am looking at putting some winter wheels on my TL (second set of wheels with their own TPMS)
Will the car automatically recognize a second set of TPMS sensors or will I have to take it to the dealership to reprogram twice a year?

i'm riding on wheels with no TPMS. They are still on my other set. I personally don't care less for them as they aren't truly accurate. Though to answer your question, as long as the TPMS sensor is the same you're fine. No reprogramming needed. My buddy has a second set of TPMS from his Honda Pilot and it never gave him issues on his 3rd gen TL. Then again you have a 4th gen so i am not sure if you'll have issues. Just stick with apples and apples and you're fine for sure.
Thank you for the prompt reply!
Do you just get a warning message or the "red screen" every time you start the car?
I would prefer not to have any on either... just would get annoyed by any warning lights always on.
