Yokohama AVID ENVigor?
Anyone have any experience with Yoko AVID ENVigor. Read some really good reviews, but they seem limited by mileage because the tire is so new. Thinking of putting them on both cars because the price is soooooo good.

After much thought and pouring over every review, I will go with Yoko's on the RDX and Mich A/S plus on the TL.
Update to follow in about a month.

I put those Yoko's on my wife's 07 RDX and they are a lot better than the Mich that came with the car. We probably have 1 year and 12k on them now. Quieter, better handling, better in rain and better in snow.

I think those are the wrong size. I believe you need 245/40/19. If you use the 45's you're speedo will be off by like 5%
I have 20's and am using 245/35/20. I believe the ones that come on the 18's are 245/45/18.

Here's some pics of the new rubber (taken at dusk tonight, more to follow) Yokohama AVID ENVigor 245/45/R19 Breyton GTS-AV 19x8.5(-40) Wheel wieght 23lbs. Total 52.5lbs. Total stock Enkie & Michelin at removal (2/32) 52.6lbs. Nice trade off, even without that 2-3lbs of tread that we lost on the roadway in the last 3 years, the Yoko's & Breyton are lighter.

Now that some of the release agent has worn off, the bite has improved. Overall, cabin sound is WAY down, ride quality is good, and they are performing better than expected. I will give a 1,000 mile update and follow-up every 10k from then on.

After a fixing multiple screw-ups from the folks at TireRack (balance & direction), the new Yoko's seem to be an excellent compromise. They are very quiet in comparison to the OE Michelin's, and for the most part, are now starting to behave like a real tire. Breakaway is easy with these new all seasons, but very predictable and smooth. This weekend will be a good test of the rain shedding abilities as we our expecting a good storm. Mileage is down 1mpg on average. Overall, I would give them a B+ so far (500miles), with the "+" coming from the low price. It is important to note that the set I have on are "w" rated and do not offer the 60k warranty that the lower speed rated tires have. However I will be happy if we get the 45k promised as they are way better than the MXx4-whatevers that were stock.

Deciding on All Season Tires
Im looking at all-season tires for my 07 TL. I have a set of Talon Triangle TR968's on it now and I think they are Chinese knockoffs. They dont look like they will be good for a New England winter.
Looking at:
Yokohama AVID Envigor H&V
Continental ContiExtreme Contact DWS (although a recent TL owner put up a pretty negative review on this tire on flat spotting)
any other good ones? Pirelli NeroZero?
