Sun Visor

Has anyone else had issues with their sun visor not staying up? I've had my driver sun visor replaced twice in 12 months. It stays up but would eventually start to hang like a inch down and the first dealership told me it was an issue and eventually wouldn't stay up at all.

We had the same problem with our 2014 TL, right from the start. We had it replaced under warranty and the new one is working fine, at least so far (after about 10 months).

My wife's old highlander used to have that problem. I fixed it with a quarter sized piece of Velcro

Ok how about this on for size. I just noticed this and don't think it was originally like this, but are the drivers and passengers "air bag" warnings different? Or did they put a different one on my car...my OCD is about to kick in

Both of my visors have the small sticker and both have the larger sticker on the mirror flap that you see when you fold down the visor. hope that helps - I have an 09 TL FWD.

Resurrecting an old thread--floppy visor syndrome

I noticed this issue even when the car was new and probably should have addressed it but it never bothered me enough to do so. The symptom is that the visor on the driver side would not always "snap" back fully into the up position. I could usually get it to do so after pushing on it a few times but now it seems worse, although I can usually get it into place after a bit of coaxing.

Other than velcro, has anyone else torn into the visor to figure out the mechanism or is it just easier to buy a replacement?

Thanks,

Likely not since it is now 4+ years since we bought the car. I imagine this type of thing would have been covered under the first year bumper-to-bumper warranty but not beyond that.
