So it was about -25 degrees yesterday and the Check SH-AWD System light came on along with the CEL. I was basically driving around for about 10 minutes then pulled into my parking spot, then all of a sudden the lights came on. I had the code ran and it gave me a P0175 System Running Rich problem. I had the code reset and it hasn't came back on but what do you think it could be? I had no issues starting the car at all.

I received those warning lights randomly not too long ago. Went to the Acura dealer, service manager told me not to worry, because I was due for an oil change (30% left), he told me there was a litre of oil missing and that's why I received the notification. So I let it pass, found it weird that oil was missing, but I let it go. Had about 80 000kms the first time it happened.
This happened for the last 3 oil changes. Service manager told me each time, was normal....
Now yesterday, because I'm due for an oil change again 30% left, have presently 103 000kms, went again to the dealer, my service manager is there no more, got promoted to another dealer, dealt with another service manager, told him the situation that I received the warning lights and told him that my other service manager told me that I just needed to do an oil change cause a litre of oil would be missing, he found that weird, went to my car, checked the dipstick, found it almost dryyyyy!!!! He added 3 litres of oil 0W20. He checked to see if I have an extended warranty because he wants to do an oil consumption test between oil changes. He verified with my previous oil changes, that its consuming 1 litre for every 2.500kms.
So, I suggest first of all, check the dipstick if you have oil in the engine so you don't burn the engine, and if you still got warranty, I suggest you go to your dealer and report the problem and see if you might have the same situation I do...

 

I'll definitely go in and check it out then. My car is sitting at 30% oil left too and I'm at 105,000km and it ends at 120k if I'm not mistaken.

 

My '07 MDX with 147k is also burning a qt of oil every 2500 miles. The emission and SH-AWD lights come on all the time. I get the auto shop to reset and they stay off a couple of days. Performance is not affected. Mileage is good.

 

It may be as simple as cleaning the MAF Sensor (with specific for MAF sensor cleaner, in the rubber tube that connects the air filter box to the throttle body).
