Replace the battery?

My 2011 TL SH-AWD has less than 23,000 miles on it. Bought it new Jan 2, 2011.
So, this morning, I get in the car and press the start button. The car doesn't start--the engine doesn't even turn over. But I get quite a light show on the dash: every icon is lite up and the "message area" cycles through a number of "check this and that" messages. I am pretty sure that not every system in my car decided to stop working since yesterday night.
I am guessing it is a battery issue...but I am confounded because I live in Tampa, FL, and while last night dropped down to 39 degrees F, the garage couldn't have gotten any colder than 50. Is the battery that worthless?
You see, I really am not looking forward to having Roadside Assistance touch my car if I can figure it out myself (I treat my car like gold, you might even wonder if it is ever driven if you ever saw it, and I am not looking forward to some guy tow truck driver guy--no offense to tow truck drivers--jerking my car around.
If it is the battery, a lot of Acurazine followers seem to suggest getting a better after market battery.
Roadside Assistance comes tomorrow (I wanted to troubleshoot this myself before they show up) so I am wondering if there is something I can do to trouble shoot this myself. If it even means going out and spending a couple hundred bucks to avoid getting my car manhandled by "experts", I am willing to spend that money.

pull the battery take it to auto store or dealer to test it.

jump the car and drive straight to the dealer to test it.

let the roadside asst guy monkey with your car.

i understand how particular you are with your car...i, too, find myself going out of the way to make sure my TL gets the best treatment. i say get it jumped and drive it to the dealer. if it won't start, buy another battery and drop it in. have your codes handy.

when the battery goes bad, strange electrical things can manifest themselves with these cars.

Plus you will burn up an alternator if you do not replace it.

Batteries do fail with a short life, just have the dealer warranty it.

If the battery is not holding charge, it's time for a new one.

Cold weather will be the final straw for weak auto batteries.

Autozone tested battery and it is bad

Went back out to car and tried to restart car and surprisingly it started right up. Drove it to Autozone and they tested the battery and the testing device said, "replace battery."
At least now I know what the issue is, and knowing root cause of the issue is 95% of the solution--at least to me!
If I was a programmer working for Acura/Honda, I would put in some logic that would detect if the inevitable light show was going to appear when the driver attempted to start the engine and default the message that appears to the driver as: "Check and/or replace battery". Because cycling through a 1/2 dozen erroneous error messages seems like a pretty strange way to indicate that the battery might be the problem--but, hey, that's just me.
Thank you to those who replied this late on a Sunday night! I am taking my car to the dealership tomorrow for a free new battery.

The dealership is providing you with a new battery? Wow, talk about customer service as any stealership up here would not provide this service as it is a non-warranty item (similar to brakes or tires). My dealer will not even look at my propeller shaft unless the sound is deafening.

Seems strange that the car would not start and now it does. Did you happen to have the radio on without the car running just prior to the first event happening? My wife did this during the summer and experienced the same thing that you indicated. She left the car off and it started an hour later. We did not replace the battery and live just outside of Toronto with temps well below freezing over the past month or so and no issues yet. I wish it were 38F here......

the battery being less than a year old in a brand new car, I would expect the dealer to give one away.

a bad, or dying battery will still show signs of life but its putting a strain on the charging system.

battery is covered in the normal warranty for the first one. the 2nd one that goes is prorated during the warranty period.

my first OEM battery was replaced for free when it started going after 3 yrs. the 2nd OEM battery lasted 3 yrs and 4 mos...i went aftermarket for that one.
