Oil leak

2009 TL 166k miles. Florida car. Leaking on to the garage floor now and she said she smells oil burning so I believe it's something more than the oil pan gasket. Any thoughts on what else it can be? Will try to fix it with limited tools and no engine lift for the oil pan. Leaks always go to the next weakest link. Thanks in advance.

Have you ever had to reseal the oil pump? If not, that would be the most likely culprit. Both my 07 and 13 TL developed oil pump leaks at mileage way lower than yours.

Everything dregsfan said above is correct. The main thing is diagnostics, because oil pens is never leak on these engines.

Thanks. It's to the point whether to let it leak for another 30k and put down an oven liner with kitty litter in the garage. Do everything at 200k based on labor costs. Knew about the water pump on the timing change at 100k but not this. Weak link on a bullet proof car. Will show if there is another leakage as it always goes to the next weakest link as in my 2001 CL V6. But that was wasn't oil pump. Seepage sucks.
