Had an issue the other day where the wipers would wipe four times rather than the usual one time when pressing the lever upward. Once I turned the car off and back on it no longer did this. Anyone else experience something similar? I've also noticed that often times when I push the lever up for a single swipe, the wipers will return to their resting position like normal, but then start to come up again, about an inch, then stay there.

 

I have had a similar experience. i.e. Turn on Wipers and they would stop half way or so.. I would toggle it on/off/intermittent and it would return to the correct position.. The dealer replaced the wiper motor under my extended warranty and it's been working like a champ since (2 years or so).

 

Assuming the electronics that control the functionality of the wipers are not located in the motor housing, I doubt replacing the motor would fix my issue. Seems like a malfunctioning MICU.

 

Happened again this morning. I started up the car and the windshield wipers immediately started oscillating and wouldn't stop. I had to shut the car off and restart it to stop them. I'm selling this POS and never buying another Acura.
