Hello All!

Some of you may know me from years ago when I had my 03 TL and did an S2K Projector Retro Fit. I ended up upgrading to an 06 TL 6SPD. Last night, I traded in my accord for a 2010 SH-AWD 6SPD. The Keyless remote given to me will not unlock/lock anything. All it does is blink. I read the manual and they say as long as the key in nearby, you can press the button on the door handle and it'll unlock. When I go to do this, all it does is just beeps. Nothing happens. Only thing I can think of is using the actual key to unlock the doors. Is the battery for the Keyless remote dead?

Just keep key in your pocket and reach for the drivers or passengers door handle to unlock car. To lock the car, hit the black button when you are leaving the car. There is no need to even reach for the key. Welcome to the community.

 

Thank you for your reply. So hit the black button and it'll lock? When I hit the black button, it beeps a few times but does nothing..

 

The black button is only used to lock the door. Mine does not beep. Have you tried both doors with the black buttons? Double check the MMI (between Tach/Speedo) settings to see how it's configured? I actually set mine up to unlockk ALL 4 doors on the driver side to let wife and kids get in.

The default setting is...pull handle on drivers side unlocks drivers door. pull passenger side and it unlocks all 4 doors.

 

You might need to replace the battery on the remote. My LED indicator blinked, but it didn't do anything. Changed the batteries and it was all good.

 

Thanks all for the input. I figured it out. Noticed that it kept telling me to remove my fob but it wasn't in there. So i researched and saw that people had the same issue.The thing that holds the fob in place doesn't retract out so it tricks the car in thinking the fob is still there, therefore not allowing me to unlock/lock. Once you stick your finger inside and pull it out, the car finally sees there's no key inside, allowing me to unlock/lock.

I still do have an issue with the system but this is the temp work around.
