Interior trim piece not fitting properly

The metal trim piece on the passenger side with the power port in it does not quite fit tightly where it joins with the black plastic near the climate control area. It looks like it was not snapped in when it was built. It does line up with the other metal piece near the top above the glove box but just above the coin box it is popping out a little. Does anyone have this in their car and does anyone know how to remove and reinstall it? I have had the car for one month and did notice it right away but figured I would either fix it myself or wait until the first oil change. The only problem is that it will be a year from now since I only drive about 7500 per year. I want to play with it now because it does bother me. Thanks. Pics below. Not sure how to get pics with text. Hope you can see these and help. Thanks again.

To be more specific about my last question, the area that is popped out is near the lower right corner of the MENU button and just below the A/C button. Does anyone know if this metal trim can be removed safely and reinstalled correctly? Thanks.

Yeah it's a defect, just bring it back and make 'em fix it.
