their should be a prong that holds the bulb in place, which you would need to push aside to get the bulb loose. i have yet to mess with my headlights so im not 100% sure.

ok I finally solved the problem.
here is how to replace Lowbeam bulbs.

1. Raise the front (using jack) for greater accessing space.
2. remove 4 bolts(3 plastic-tabs and 1 metal bolt) on the Plastic inner-fender cover.
3. fold the cover so u can reach your arms inside.
4. grab and twist the round bulb protecting cap counter-clock wise(1/4) then it will come out.
5. grab the square looking Xenon charging socket counter-clock wise(1/4) then it will also come out.
6. Find 2 silver metal strings tab and Push it. When it comes loose, push it down.
7. Take the bulb out very carefully so it wont get scratched out.
8. Put it back together.

and ta-da~~ it's done.
I upgraded mine to 6000K and it looks awesome. compared to yellowish stock bulbs. =D

when pushing the tabs..make sure you push inwards ( --> <--) on each side to get the tabs loose then pull down carefully.

you must have some small hands to get into that tight space! i just find it easier to take the whole bumper off..

and don't forget to wear latex gloves. You don't want finger oil to be touching the bulb. Otherwise say buh-bye to your bulb.

Have not done it on the TL but all other cars, its usually behind a plastic housing, so I am assuming you are correct.

I tried to do that from the wheel-well area, but that damn Windshield fluid was blocking the way? so I guess it will be better to just take the bottom cover off and then go from there.. huh?

your probably right. when i looked at it, i only looked on the driver side. so through the bottom would be a good alternative.

page 556 in the owner's manual has pretty good instructions for changing high beams and fogs. Just changed mine the other day, really took my time and was done in about 45 mins. Luminics krypton pure blue bulbs, h11 fogs and 9005 high beams. Looks nice!

I personally think 4300k is good match for the head light and the HID fogs. 6000K fog will give u really blue(rice lookin) on that tiny housing. so u basically end up your front lookin too busy and odd color match.

Does anyone have pictures of this? I'm not against getting my hands dirty to install some whites in place of the halogen daytime lights, but I'd much rather have idiot proof instructions and photos. Anyone know what type of company I could look for on Yelp that would do this type of installation work?

What are the best bulbs to match the stock HID night time lights?

Thanks
