How do I remove the center console Shifter?

Hey all,

I've got as far as removing the two side strips on my 2012 Acura TL, and I've exposed and removed the two screws holding the center console to the main body. I've also removed all the clips, but now the only thing that's keeping me from removing the console is the shifter. I'm not sure how to go about removing this part in order to remove my whole console.

Thanks!!

Thank you so much! I just found the 09-10 service manual online =) Perfect info. I'll try that out tonight and see how it goes.

FYI, the actual shift knob does not need to come off for the A/T model. In fact I'm not sure how it even comes off. I removed the screw on the shaft and tried bending out the tabs but it wouldn't budge. You just have to manipulate the shift panel after releasing it and it will fit downward through the opening so that you can remove the console.
