Hi all,

I recently bought a satin silver 03 TL, and the most immediate/annoying problem that I want to fix before I get into cosmetic upgrades is the center console. The lid will not close, so every time I brake, the armest flies shut, and every time I accelerate it opens.

Looking at the latch, it's not clear which side is broken (the part on the armest itself, or the part on the tray below). I found an older thread on here that said it was the bottom part, but I wanted to confirm.

Looks like one of the two:
• 83407-S0K-A01 - Genuine Acura Lock, Tray
• 83406-S0K-A01 - Genuine Acura Lock, Armrest

Based on the photos and prior experience in other models where this happens, which of the two parts do I need to buy?

Bump for intrest, I need this peice also.

 

Worse comes to worst, we can buy both parts and swap out both. But I'd rather save myself the money and only replace whichever one is actually broken.

 

T.S.B. 01-043 addresses this problem. The improved 83407-SOK-A01 is a couple mm longer to cure the problem.
