How many times have you changed the ATF fluid in your car since you bought it? Just curious

I havent since I bought it used a year ago...not sure if previous owner had it done either. I hear it' bad to have a flush completed? What are your thoughts? Any advice will be appreciated

Sounds like it needs the software update and fluid change. The fluid change without software update will likely help the issue but getting both the software and fluid change should completely solve it. Worked for me.

It's not bad to do a flush. If you do them regularly, it will extend the life of the transmission.

If you have a failing transmission, doing a flush or a change (they are different) will not fix that. When your transmission fails anyway, people think the service broke it. Usually the explanation from the techs is that the flush/change dislodged gunk and that goofed something up. That's also mostly boloney.

I would contact the dealer first to confirm if you need an update.. that doesn't cost you anything..
The transmission for 4G is extended to 120K miles for 10 years from manufactured date whichever comes first..
