Fogs sometimes don't come on

Hey guys several days ago I upgraded my fogs to Kaixen 6k on the TL and also change my fuse from 10 to 20 amps instructed by the manual. I've my light set to auto mode and now when the lights turn on sometimes my fogs won't come one so I manually turn the fog off and turn it back on and it works. The funny thing is the andicator fog light stay on my dash but fogs don't. Have someone experience this before? I called Excelerate but they couldn't give me a straight answer. This is annoying

I am not sure if I would change the fuse from 10 amps to 20 amps. If that circuit's wiring is rated for 10 amps it should stay at 10 amps. You probably plugged in your ballast to the end of the connector for the bulb, correct? Also verify the ballast/ignitor is working correctly.

Also can you be more specific on the "straight answer" part?

I will go and re use 10 amps for left and right fuse box. No the bulb wire has 4 wires coming out which one goes to oem plug, one to the ballast and other two is black and red wires that connect on color match. What I met to say about straight answer is that guy at Execelerate couldn't tell me a reason why sometimes the fogs turn on auto mode and sometimes don't.

Your wiring after the OE wiring is probably rated at 20 amps but definitely not the OE.

Do you have a picture by any chance?

Do you mean pictures of the fogs on or installation? My nephew is a mechanic and told me if I lower the fuse to 10 amps I can burn the ballast, does that make sense.

Pictures of it connected. OE is 10 Amps correct? If so you'll blow the OE wiring if you use 20 amps. Your wiring will smoke first and if continually drawing current might blow the ballast.

Is their a HID kit rated for 10 amps?

Ive had this problem for about 6 months. If the car is off and the fogs attempt to come on because of the headlights being in auto mode 1 or none of the fog lights will come on.

If the car is on and i flick them on and off, they will come on. Ive just been living with the problem.

I always thought the voltage wasnt high enough for the HID fogs to come on while the car was off. The fogs were designed for bulbs where the voltage was not such a problem.

Unfortunately I didn't take a picture while installing but it's pretty much straight forward plug and play.

Two weeks ago I installed a cheaper hid kit and I didn't have any issues at all except one of the ballast stop working so I ended up returning it back and upgrading to Kaixen to match with my kaixen D2S low bean bulb which is perfect match. I guess I'll just manually turn them on. It's really not a big deal but you figure when you spend $250.00 for a kit it should be flawless.

My fogs don't flicker or one comes one.......they either come one at same or nothing so I'd have to manually turn the fogs switch off and turn it back on. What's weird is the fogs would not come on but the fog indicator in the dash will indicate the opposite so the only way I could tell is from the reflection of the car infront of me.

I think you have the same problem as me. Its because when they are set to "auto" they come on before the car
starts, right?

As long as the car is running mine start up fine.

That's correct they try to come on but something trigger to turn off once the car starts so I've to manually turn them off and it comes on without no issues.
