I had this issue come up on a 2012 TL that I recently purchased used - 54k miles. The service rep had me explain the issue/sound to one of their primary techs and his only question back was 'is your TL an AWD?' I said Yes, and he immediately identified the problem, submitted the warranty claim and I was back on the road in about 2 hrs. Great experience.
so did they end up replacing the propeller shaft? I have a buzzing know that started after the whine lol..
I ended up replacing mine after one of the carrier bearings developed the loud whistle/whine 2 years ago. My TL is a '12 with only 62k at the time. Sucks these shafts are sealed, no way I could find to get a needle in to grease anything. Did some research and seems Acura changed something in '13, so I bought a used propeller shaft from a 13+ off ebay and it's been fine so far. I would def recommend getting a 13-14 part. 2012 Acura TL SHAWD Propeller Shaft
