Ear Splitting Beeps on Start and Stop - Please Help!
I've tried researching through these threads before posting, I promise!
I just bought a used 2009 Acura TL and it has an issue that I desperately need help with. Here is a video of the problem:
. When starting and stopping the engine, there are a sequence of 5-6 beeps that are incredibly loud. I have weaved my way through all of the menus and cannot find anything that seems to affect it. Thank you, in advance!

I looked under the dash and don't see anything that looks non-OEM. I think csmeance may be right that the speaker that plays the startup chimes is broken. I've watched about 5 videos of startup sequences of the same generation and model as mine and my chimes trace exactly with that of other cars it's just the sound is completely different. I'll keep digging and see what I can find. If I find that speaker, I'm going to rip it out.
wow.. that's pretty bad.
I MAY be wrong and hopefully another expert can chime in but I beleve it's this unit: 2672695-STX-A01
BUZZER ASSY., KEYLESS
OEM Acura TL SEDAN 2009 CONTROL UNIT (CABIN) (1) parts

Thanks, thoiboi - I'm going to the dealership for some recall work and I'm going to let them take a swing at figuring it out. It's a brutal reality that much change. I'm quite certain it's the "speaker" (buzzer?) unit that's failed because I've heard the pitch change a few times, but not the volume!

Problem solved. @CSMEANCE and @JUSTNSPACE were spot-on.
I had to take the car to the dealer for recall work on the drivers airbag and asked them to look into the source of the noise. I made the service rep sit in the car and start the car. I should have shot video - he too was appalled. The tech found what it was, and it was an aftermarket add-on.
Apparently my car was previously owned by the lucky recipient of multiple DUIs. It was a decommissioned breathalyzer ignition control system. The alarm that sounded when the system failed to detect the control and recording unit was not decommissioned at the time that the system was shut off. I found the speaker, said a quick prayer that I wasn't going to cut off the ignition to my car and cut. Everything works perfectly now, even the original soft start chimes are back!
Thanks for all the help!
