This is complete HORSESHIT!
coming to this thread late...
i get the frustration. they're really at no risk if they're taking your engine apart because the car is useless unless a master mechanic/technician performs the work. and if they find the problem to not be warranty related, they call you while the engine is out of the car, and tell you that they need to replace xyz. if you are a deadbeat and don't want to pay for it, they give you your engine on a pallet and you trailer your car out of there.

If you're putting a fresh quart in every 1000 miles, I'm not sure why you'd even need oil changes.
I wish you luck...corporate, unfortunately, is the only way to get resolution sometimes.

I'd share your story with corporate, in detail. They will contact the dealership and get you squared away. I'd be shocked if they didn't...use catch phrases like hating to have to share your experiences on social media on a grand scale etc.
The dealership I deal with has always been good to me...I'm lucky.

Your opinion was to state a fact?
He may have and I may have missed it. Visibility is the key though...a private call to Acura net you a different result than publicly questioning them.

OP did this early in the thread. Honestly Acura client relations is pretty useless IMO. They will always, ALWAYS side with the dealer, even if the dealer is 100% wrong. At least thats been my experience. Which I will share shortly.
Local dealership I bought vehicle from when new will not budge from their stance, so I'm not going back to them anymore, and they have lost all of my business.
There is another dealership 30min away I may try later, but at this point I figure all energy will be wasted and likely just tick me off more.
This. I did that for a Sprint issue and they responded in less then a hr. Was too late for them tho. I already was opening a Verizon acct.

Shoot...with cell phone companies, straight to the FCC complaint website. Doing the right thing isn't step one in the resolution process anymore, unfortunately.
Ok, tell me then, in what case would it be non powertrain? The manager and Acura corp could not tell me aside from not changing the oil on the time (which I have records of).
Last time I authorized a charge, they told me it was a oil sensor problem, which concidentally, is a not a powertrain issue. Bullshit. They've been playing me from the start.
And what the hell does my confidence have to do with this? I've been confident from the start that the engine is consuming oil, and where has it gotten me? No where.
You sound suspiciously like someone who works for Acura.
