So I was driving all day and just I was about to turn down my street, the check emissions system light came on. Now I'm panicking about what this could be. A couple things real quick:

1. I gassed up 2 days ago(about half a tank) with premium gas of course and I just tightened my gas knob. I have about a 1/4 tank left
2. I have a K&N intake and xlr8 jpipe which deletes the 3rd cat
3. I installed a new battery less than a year ago

Now does anyone have any suggestions of what this could be? The car has about 49000k miles on. I'm going to check the oil level now. The car is 2010 FWD btw. Any help would be great, thanks guys!

 

What code does it give u ?

 

No code, it just says "check emissions system". I disconnected the battery and after reconnecting the battery the light went away. Hopefully it doesn't come back now.

 

Shouldnt of done that u should plug in a scanner see what code u got

BTW, was the light flashing before going solid yellow or it just went yellow?

 

did you get it resolved? think it could also be the altitude you drive in ..if you car is used to a certain area and you decide to take a road trip somewhere so and coming from the north, the car might not be use to the altitude did you do a road trip.. you mention that you filled up 2 days ago and now you have a 1/4 tank left
