Bulb blow out

Hi I need some electrical support in fixing my driver side courtesy door light. The bulb went bad and today i replace the bulb but it does not work I inserted the bulb one way and tried the other by just flipping the bulb I checked the fuse s and they are all good the box on the passenger side are all fine and under the hood is also fine. Maybe i bought the wrong bulb i purchase stanley 158 same size when i matched it up with what was in there. Any help with fixing this call out would be great last option is to take to the dealer but i figured I could do some trouble shooting before i take it in.

Thanks in advance.

did you try taking the passenger side bulb out and putting it on the driver side.. it could just be that the bulb you got does not work..

if not get a voltage tester from harbor freight for like 3 bucks.. test if there is power going through the wires on your driver side door

I think I had the same issue. Went to change the bulbs to led and the driver door wouldn't come on, then the passenger door stayed even when closed. Took it in and they said the ground went bad for some reason. They changed out both fuse assemblies in the cabin and that got it fixed.

the fuse assembly? is that the whole unit or just the fuses? if so i have an assortment box of fuses from 5-30 for the courtesy light it is 7.5a which i also have a fuse tester I will check all on the passanger side kick plate.

The whole unit. Both the driver and passenger foot well ones. I had a weird issue with one of the rear doors occasionally not locking or unlocking too and the switch out solved that.
