Brake Noise When Stopping/Accelerating??

I have a 09 TL with about 15,000KM's on it now and recently started hearing brake noise when I come to a stop and then take off again.

Not the actual pads, but more like the brake lines or wires tightening and loosening (if someone can fix my terminology so I can explain it to the dealer better that be great)

Its like when cables tighten up and then loosen, has anyone else heard this or starting to hear this? Anyone know what it actually is or may be? I would really like this checked and fixed.

Any help?

Almost like a creaking of the brake lines - if that helps

I have 2009 AWD, I start noticing the same problem recently after we had a few snow storms. I am guessing the problem is somehow related to excessive moisture because I could hear the noise right after I did a car wash in the summer time. Anyway, I am going to take my car to dealer tomorrow to check it out.

I hear nothing so far, but then, we don't have as much snow here and my car only has 2200 miles on it.

I hear it even on dry days - I know when its wet you get that brake noise, it happens all cars.

I am talking about on dry weather days as well, as if a cable is tigetening then loosening, I don't know the terminology which is why I was hoping someone could help me be more technical with the issue so I could tell the dealer.

I have an appointment on Friday for this.

So the dealer checked it out and says my front disks need to be replaced which is what is causing this creeking type noise and causing the excessive vibration from the pedals/steering wheel area.

They say they are warped? How and why..no clue..either way looks like im getting a complete brake job for free - see how it feels after.

I'm down in texas so just dry and wet driving and I have 10K miles on mine. I don't hear anything unless its really hard braking or when the rotors have rusted from rain and are grinded off. Warped rotors isn't too surprising on honda cars as I've seen it on my other honda's but you didn't mention vibration in your earlier posts. Are you/were you feeling vibration during braking at any point? It does still sound like something's not right down there.

No while braking I had no vibration - I just mentioned alot of movement between the pedals when driving (braking or not) and they say its related.

hmm i'm definitely not sure whats going on but if your brake pedal is vibrating/moving in an indeterminate manner but not your steering wheel, I would start looking at the abs system and like you said, your fluid lines might not be working well, resulting in uneven presssure. Warped rotors should result in your steering wheel vibrating as well but you're not seeing that.

Good luck!

I feel alot of vibration around the feet area - steering wheel is fine, but I can feel it in my pedals and floor and more when I am doing 120KM/H

make sure you use a torque wrench to tighten your bolts-nuts. Over-tightening with a machine can cause warping "according to the tire guy".
