Back Window Weatherstrip/Track/Channel

Taking my '12 Advance to the dealer tomorrow.

While in Florida a couple of months ago, I did the whole "hold down the fob" trick to get all of the windows to go down. I noticed once I got in the car and put all of the windows back up that the driver's side rear window was streaked with a very sticky substance and it almost looked like it had pieces of felt in it.

I assumed that there may have been something down in the window track from a previous owner (this car was purchased CPO) - Windex would not remove the sticky substance, but Goo Gone did the trick.

I had not tried to put the window down since that time, until last week. I noticed that window now doesn't want to go down at all! From inside the car I tried to get it to go down and noticed that it was like the window was attached to the "weatherstrip" that surrounds the glass channel and it was pulling that strip down into the glass channel with it and getting stuck.

I was worried about the window getting stuck in a down position or burning out the window motor so I stopped trying.

Has anyone ever experienced this? The car was purchased CPO and is being serviced at a dealer other than the one I purchased it at (we moved since purchasing), but it *is* under the original factory warranty still.

I am wondering if maybe the windows used to be tinted and someone did a really shoddy job of removing the adhesive or something...

They ended up replacing the weatherstrip where the window goes into the door. They said the window was pulling the weatherstrip down into the track. All appears to be good now. It was warranty work but the part was only about $22 from what I can tell.
