Good morning
we have noticed last few days. When we walk away from the car and come back the doors were not locked.
I do have the auto door lock enabled at 30 sec.
I did Test yesterday key at house waited and car did not lock. All the locks work. We can lock with FOB and shift from park..
is there a BCM update needed or something?

Nope, that's how it works. The security re-lock timer only re-locks your door if you unlocked the car with the key fob or keyless access button on the door handle and didn't open any of the doors after 30, 60, or 90 seconds.

It doesn't auto lock if you've turned the car off, closed the door, and walked away.

The 4G TL doesn't have the "walk away auto door lock" feature. It only has a "auto door relock" feature, which is after the doors are already locked (by you), if you unlock the doors but don't open a door within a preset time interval, then the unlock door(s) will relock by themselves.
