Anyone might know what’s going on

My 2009 TL went from 40mph and dropped to about 15mph and the check engine light was flashing. I pulled over and it was jerking a little while in park so I turned it off and let it sit and after turning it back on the light was gone and no jerking at all. I try to use a code scanner but nothing came up since the light went off. Is there anyone that might know what’s going on?

Anytime you have a flashing check engine light on any car, that means it has a misfire. How many miles are on the car? Have you ever had the spark plugs changed?

yes sir, I had them changed back in late July, it had 148,400 miles. Do you think it can be the fuel injectors? Those haven’t been changed, I got the car with a little over 80,000 Miles on it.

i'd look into coil packs before the injectors. Where did you source your plugs? Could be bad as well. Have you restarted the car since and the misfire has gone away?

I got them at Winchester auto, they are the ngk brand. Ok ima look into the coil packs, i have started it and no light flashing I drove it and it feels a little different kind of like it don’t have as much power,

I don't think it's bad injectors. What Thoiboi said is accurate. I've noticed our engines (the 3.5 FWD or 3.7 AWD) tend to run best on NGK iridium spark plugs. Coil packs can also fail like he said.
Hard to tell since the misfiring went away upon restart. Keep your code reader in the car. Next time it misfires, try to get the reader to see what the code is. If it's 1 cyl misfiring, switch that coil pack with another cyl. If the misfire moves to that cyl, then you know that coil pack is bad. I'd make sure all the coil pack wires are plugged in tightly. Also, what kind of gas are you putting in it? Brand and octane level.

As soon as I got home I put the reader in the car, worst part is I had just took out the day before. I get gas at shell, only put 91 in.

Dang, don't you hate that?! Hopefully you will get another misfire light and can read the code on the fly. Shell is good gas. My guess is just a coil pack intermittently going bad. I've seen that plenty of times!

Stuff like that is the worst lol. I was just talking to a mechanic and he said the same , sounds like it’s the coil pack. I do appreciate the feedback, I was tripping out like damn what the hell was that. Once I figure it out I’ll definitely come back and let y’all know what it was. I appreciate y’all.
