check engine light

I have a 1999 acura cl 3.0. I was driving it the other day and when pushed the petle down all the way to see what it would do as soon as I let go the check engine light came on. I don't know what would be wrong? It's not running hot or knocking...

There are countless variables that are setting the light off. I recommend taking it to a professional and having them scan the OBD port to diagnose the issue.

Best option is to pull the code to figure out what the issue is related to

You can have any auto parts store check the light for free. They cannot turn the light off though. At least you will know what the code is and have an idea how to fix it.

I went through this recently.
A guy at PepBoys scanned my codes and turned off the CEL for free. Twice.

I googled the codes as "POXXX Honda" and found info on my specific engine.
I replaced the O2 sensors, cleaned the EGR passage in the manifold and passed the E-check.
