any problems with 2012 TL manual I should watch out for ?

Hi guys. I am about to purchase a 2012 TL manual. Any known issues I should be aware of ? I don't think the Torque converter affects manuals. Anything else ?
Thanks in advance☺

You are correct, torque convertor only applies to automatic, so no issue there.

Watch out for:
1) propeller shaft whine - If you notice a high pitched whine during acceleration, propeller shaft may need replacement. Mine so far has no such sound, and I'm wondering if this shaft's issue pertains mostly to the automatic counterpart.
2) 3rd gear pop out. Fairly common Honda design flaw. Tends to happen when it's cold; I was able to get my 3rd gear set replaced under warranty, and it was a battle.
3) 3.7 V6 engine has issues with oil consumption. My 2010 consumes 1L every 1,000 miles and then some and has gotten worse over time. This issue Acura and stealership continue to deny. Obviously this would not be detectable on a short term test drive, but is something to be aware of.
4) Clutch engagement point is on the high side and is normal FYI.
5) Check all speakers are working properly. The car comes with a DVD that showcases the DVD A system; one of the tracks goes through each speaker individually, and is a good one to play and test.

Main issues are #1, 2, and 3.

I'm sure others will chime in on other known issues.

6) keep an eye on the battery, replace next year, most 09's and '10s are dead already.

PS. There is a build-in self-diagnostic for the speakers:

1. ignition to ON (II)
2. make sure audio system is off
3. press and hold 1 and 3 radio presets
4. while holding 1 and 3 down, push the audio ON button
5. release the buttons and the test begins.

You are suppose to hear a tone from every speaker, press the skip button to move to the next speaker, up the volume to listen better, 6 tones all and the 7th time you press skip all together.

amazing - thanks for the input for the speaker test. I recently brought mine in as I heard some crackling from the front/center speaker. Dealer said they heard nothing. I will try this!

thanks guys. I purchased a 2012.
This "propeller shaft whine" -- when I took a test drive of another TL I definitely heard this ! I'll watch out for it on mine. I just bought mine today and it only has 11000 miles on it so no issues yet that I can see. Well, there is one which I will post in another thread.

Cant this be fixed with GM Synchromesh ? I had a similar issue on my 3G Type S. Put Synchromesh in, went away, permanently.

I changed to the GM fluid and it definitely improved 2nd and 3rd gear. Still a little notchy but much improved.

Cool. I don't have this issue (3rd gear popping out). But I will add synchromesh anyway. I have a whole case of it still form 2-3 years ago. I am assuming it doesnt go bad.

Also had my Prop shaft replaced on my 12' TL 6MT. Dealership was familiar with the sound, whistling. The issue started intermittently around 25k for me when weather is cold and became permanent recently at 35k miles after 5 mins morning drive time.
