So I have a 2012 Acura TL and for some reason the domelight is flickering whenever the switch is in door mode. Both back and front dome lights flicker. I don't think it's any of the door jamb switches because there's no indication on the dash that a door is open. If I put the switch to "off" mode then it stays off and if I put the switch on "On" mode it stays on without any flickering. The issue is just on door mode.

any suggestions of what the problem might be?

 

I take it you have LEDs in there? You’ll need better quality ones to avoid the flickering

 

Yes they are led. I took the lens off and it's like a led console board up there. The bulbs looks like a chip soldered in. So I purchased an used domelight to see if it would work and it had the same problem. Can they be changed??

 

I apologize, i was not aware the 4G had units with built in LEDs. If your already replaced it, there may be another issue afoot within the circuit when the switch is on door. I unfortunately can’t help on that front
