My wife's TL is an '08 which we bought new in the summer of '07. It currently has ~69K miles. While coming back from dinner Saturday, the interior lights came on, and would not shut off. The dash display indicated that the passenger front door was open, but it was not. Slightly lowering the passenger front window would cause the lights to go out, but they would come back on if the window was fully up. She said this occurred a few weeks ago as well when my daughter was sleeping against that door. The door switch would unlock the door, but wouldn't lock it on the passenger side as well.

Passenger side door switch is faulty....so while your driving it "thinks" your door is open and hence turns ur lights on....

follow this thread to get to the passenger side door switch and try switching it out....this should fix the problem.... (before switching the switch check the voltages on it, just to be sure)....
