XLR8 Performance Catback Exhaust: 09+ TL SH-AWD

Having had mine now for a few months, these videos are spot on. No regrets at all. But be prepared, it's quite loud until it breaks in. Mine seems to be fully broken in and sounds just epic. Loud when hard acceleration and deceleration. Very little drone. Just freaking perfect.

Also, I really like the in cabin noise reducing technology on this exhaust ...It's nice to not have all that drone and in cabin noise and be able to have a conversation in the car without having to speak loud.

Loving the sound and the tips of the exhaust..what bugs the heck out of me is that the tips come angled downward. Why in the world would I buy an exhaust that I would need to eventually cut off and re-weld? This completely deters me from ordering it.

Actually, it's not that the tips are angled downwards, it's that the rear of the car actually angles upwards, so the tips are straight, but need to be angled upwards.
I think the photos accentuate the subtle difference more than it really is. The tips are cut downward, which looks awesome, but I think makes it hard to photograph. When I look at my car I don't even notice it, it just looks awesome. I'll try to grab more photos.

Just ordered the cat back exhaust, H&R sport springs, and throttle bottle spacer! Looking forward to installing next week. Should sound awesome with the j-pipe, test pipe, and Takeda intake I already have installed. Will post pics and sound clips!

my turn for updates...
so i bought the full exhaust system back in February, but only got around to installing it last week.
I picked up the Catback, Jpipe & HFC.
at first, i thought it was too loud and was 2nd guessing my decision... it sounds great, but the inside was really loud.... i put on about 400 miles this week, and it toned down a lot as it broke it. hoping the next 500 miles will make it perfect
1) sound-- its a beast. i cant keep my foot off the gas... its got the zippyness of a VQ35 exhaust... the sexyness of an exotic and the throat of an American muscle car. words and video clips cant describe how amazing it sounds when i get on it
2) the tips pointing "downwards" issue... honestly, it looks great the way it is.. when i first installed it, you could only tell it pointed down if you stared at it on eye level.
the fact that it points down a few degrees, actually makes it LOOK BETTER in my opinion.. i was going to re-weld the tips(like FYAH TL) or get different ones welded on.. but i changed my mind. i couldnt be happier with the outcome
3) power gains. so i tried something. during the install, i never reset the computer. the first 48 hours, i couldnt feel the power gain. went through a tank of gas, did some hard driving, and once the computer learned the new system, i feel the gains.
most of the power gains are from 3k-6k. I still dont have an intake system, so i dont notice much low end gains... i am waiting for CT-E to finally release their damn ice-box
Josh -- TWO THUMBS UP
Also-- while installing everything, me and my friend were looking at the welds and the quality/craftsmanship... superb... in fact, the OEM welds and bends were CRAP compared to the XLR8
I'll try to take some pics and clips in a couple days.

Marcus is about to loose out on some sales if he can't get his ATLP exhaust project off the ground... Guess my end of June projection date may prove to be true.
But in any case the XLR8 looks great and sounds great. Hopefully we'll have some more options soon from the likes of Tanabe and company.

What's most surprising to me is how quickly XLR8 came out with 4 quality products (that I can think of), for the 4G and other manufactures aren't either as invested in the 4G or aren't having any luck...

Just installed my XLR8 catback today, the sound is glorious. Like other have stated it's a little loud right now as I've only driven 100 miles with it on (personally I like it). Theres no drone on down shifts while im engine braking and it looks perfect; doesn't look ridiculously aftermarket/oversized but it adds a "this isn't the 4G i'm use to seeing/hearing" touch.

Thanks. Any sound clips?

There are sound clips all throughout this thread. Just look at the previous posts.
Actually they do not. It depends on the angle of the picture. Also, stainless steel expands. When your exhaust is hot your exhaust will stick out about 1" or so further than when the exhaust is cold.
