First off, welcome to Acurazine.

There is plenty of info on this site to help answer your questions. There is a few options when it comes to intake and exhaust. Not going to gain much power with an intake but you will gain more sound from the motor. The brands for intakes are Takeda and K&N. There is the CT icebox for the SH-AWD but it's currently out of production. As for exhaust, unfortunately there aren't many options for this either and easily run $900+ new. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, many members have done resonator delete, aftermarket mufflers and quad tips.

You can shop for parts at heeltoeauto.com, exelerateperformance.com and endlessrpm.com.

Good luck!

thanks!

I really like the quad tip look. I also have the FWD, not the SH-AWD. Any recommendations for the exterior lights, like the daytime running lights or the turn signal lights?

There are many companies that offer lighting. I order all mine through vleds.com. There quality and customer service is superior.

I have a 2012 FWD. I did a Takeda intake and I absolutely love the sound. You lose a noticeable amount of low-end power but I do see better higher RPM performance. Even if there isn't any noticeable difference in performance, the sound alone makes it worth it for me. Very nice, non-raspy, deep engine noise.

As for electronic mods, I've changed many of my interior lights to cool-blue/white LEDs as well as changed the fogs to HIDs and added LED Switchbacks to my front turn signals. I also added a NavTool 3.0 to my navigation unit along w/ a google chromecast which was honestly one of my favorite mods (right after the intake).

Upnext is the RV6 PCD, it's easy to install and you can do it yourself if you have a good amount of ground clearance. I also want to do a resonator delete but the shops around here charge 200+, which is insane. I've seen people get it done (shady as hell, but) for 50, and 100ish at a good shop. 200 is killing it. After the PCD it's gonna be either the J-pipe or the tuner. Probs gonna do J-pipe then head over an hour and half to this JDM tune shop and rent the dyno and do a proper tune.

The dome lights are SMD, you'd need to order from like Mouser Electronics. There's a thread in the 4G Electronic section where the user had identified ones (green colored I think?)

Welcome to the forums!

We have some goodies in stock on our site for your car! We have our XLR8 exhaust systems, they have a 4 tip design, and are all made from T304 stainless here inside the USA. I'll attach a link below so you can have a look!

We also offer a Jpipe for this vehicle, these add about 15-20hp with 20-25tq by eliminating a very restrictive kink in the OEM piping. They also offer a slight tone change, making this a great mod to do anytime, pre or post exhaust. Links will be included for that below as well.

As far as intakes go, Takeda and K&N both make short ram intakes for your car, and both companies state gains of 10+ hp. The only downfall from either is the fact they're short ram intakes. Since SRIs sit inside the engine bay they can become susceptible to heat soak. They still add a great look, with a nice sound, and some added power, but certain people like their factory airboxes better because of this reason.

Exhaust: EXH-UA8FWD - XLR8 Exhaust Systems - Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist
Jpipe: JPIPE-V2-UA8FWD - XLR8 J-Pipe - Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist
Intakes: 69-1210TS - K&N Intake Kit - Typhoon System Cold Air - Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist
Takeda Cold Air Intake - Retain Short Ram - Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist

Feel free to PM me for quotes and questions, happy modding!

Sorry to hijack, but I see that the j-pipe has bolt connections. I'm assuming that the whole fixture doesn't require an exhaust shop? There's no parts that need to be welded on are there? I have access to a lift, is everything possible to do w/ just that? (along w/ normal tools like pliers/wrenches/screwdrivers/torque wrench etc)

Yes, the jpipe install is straight forward and simple. You only need 12mm and/or 14mm sockets. There is no welding involved.

Sick. I might be picking that or a PCD up. They both seem to be fairly straight forward installs.

Shouldn't have taken 7 hours. They must have got you on the hourly rate. Sorry to hear if that's the case.
