Anybody running hfpc’s, rv6 jpipe 3rd cat delete, and stock catback?

I have a 2012 tl sh awd and I’m curious if anybody is running rv6 hfpc and jpipe with the 3rd cat delete and stock catback? If so how much louder is it and if you have any sound clips?

Here you go

Under normal driving conditions it's not loud at all. But at higher rpm it really rips

Yes just rv6 jpipe and hfpc. Nothing else. Quad tips welded to the stock mufflers.

while the car gains power with opening up the exhaust per these modifications, temper your expectations...

in a 4000lb car it takes more than 30hp to actually "Feel".
no doubt these modifications will free up to 30hp, it's not going to a major major difference...

plus, the characteristics of this engine puts the power at the top of the RPM range...you'll most likely feel the difference at highway speeds passing other cars.... ie; vtec ....5000-7000 RPM

Yeah pretty much what Justn said. Also expect some rasp at higher rpm.

I feel this way about modding our cars;

Do it for the love of modding. Do it because you want work on your car. Do it because it's fun changing things to see if there are improvements to be made, if any!

this platform (J-series engines) is very hard to extract power from. a fully bolted on car will only be slightly faster than a stock 4G.
the only way to make power is to turbo these cars.

it sounds good. Some car guys are in it for the sound upgrade then opposed to full bolt on mods. A n54 motor can do alot more if you rebuild the motor. But its sound preference vs wheel power for fun rides for some.

Meaning just buy a 3 series for the same price if you want 500-800hp. N54 motor.

Intended point of pre cat delete is for proper air flow. If you ever did a install the neck of the cats are bare to none( restriction) vs the PCD (no restriction) alot more air flow means what? Lower engine temperature less wear more power better deeper sound with the correct full exhaust set up. More “thrill” for your dollar. If you want dodge viper power buy a v8 or v10. These mods for the 4g TL is for sound and less restriction purposes only. not for 10 second flat upgrades.
