Jump Drive doesn't work

Trying to upload additional photos to the HDD (BTW I have a '09 TL w/Tech Package). The system keeps saying there are no files located on the drive??? Anyone else experience this problem?

when you format you select fat system and quick format, but what do you select for allocation unit size? it automatically selects an amount, should i be changing that?

If it sees the flash drive, have you tried putting an MP3 on it to see if it will play? If so, it is very possible it is an issue with the pictures.

Nope, and it is not necessarily the case that the drive needs to be formatted.

If your flash drive has something similar to Sandisk's U3 Launchpad on it, you should first remove that with the U3 Launchpad Removal Tool.

Got it work. Used a generic USB drive. It can't have any files on it at all, which the newer USB drives usually do. Also make sure the pictures are .jpg not .jpeg as it states on the error screen.....

Doesn't it say in the manual that flash drives don't work?

2009 TL Navi manual
"Importing Pictures from USB
To use a wallpaper image other than the factory defaults, you can import pictures from a USB thumb drive or similar device.
"

Thumb drives use flash memory.
