There's a security function in the nav system, where you set a PIN code if you want your home address protected. That way, if someone, stole your car, they couldn't "Go Home" to find out your home address.

I think I found a bug, though... When the Go Home PIN is set. there is still an house icon that appears on the map marking the home address!

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there some way to turn off the home/house icon so you have true protection for your home address?

I'm guessing I should report this to Acura. It's not a *huge* deal because a) your car would have to get stolen and b) a thief would need to know the vicinity where you live to scan the map for the icon, but it's still an oversight. If they're going to have a setting protect the home address, they should protect it completely.

 

I set my home address to a random address a mile away, the problem is my insurance card which is always in the vehicle...
