Simply put, the stock fog lights and DRLs/high beams do not look good. So I'm upgrading from the halogens. What would you guys go with? HIDs or LEDs for the fogs and DRLs? And if I went with HIDs, would something like this work?

TRS says these are H11B and they came up when I put in my '11 TL, despite many people saying the fogs are supposed to be H11. These are also considerably cheaper than the $150 Morimoto Elites.

Feel free to recommend where you got your bulbs from too! Thank you!

I just recently replaced the fogs and DRL/high beams with LED, links are below. I went with less expensive options since I wasn't positive they would function properly (DRL especially) but both look and work much better than the stock halogen bulbs.

Fog lights are H11: DRL/high beam is 9005/HB3:

Does that bulb change brightness when you're on DRL vs Hi Beam on that bulb?
How's the light out put on Hi Beam?

That was a question I had as well before I went with LEDs but I can say for sure that these are definitely dimmer as DRL and very bright as high beam, much brighter than the halogens. I really like these so far. Only issue I've had is that the light pattern is a little off but think it can be fixed by adjusting them in the housing, just haven't had a chance to play around with them yet.

Just wanted to know if there is something that had to be done before you install a 9005/hb3 led bulb. Ive done this plug and play many times before but for some reason (tried both bulbs) I cannot get this set to work, The leads seem to connect fine when plugging them in.

Any one ever have this problem when swapping over to led ?

Do Hid for the fogs and led for the drl... you cant go wrong
