Hey guys, just looking for some suggestions. I purchased a wireless back up camera for my 09 TL SHAWD (no tech) from 4UCAM. Com, and before doing my install I was wondering if there are is any other wiring besides the rear tailights that I can use for power. Preferably near trunk. I need something that will turn on with the key/ignition. 4ucam says If I connect to rear taillights I would have to turn the lights on all the time in order to operate camera? Someone told me the shawd wiring is near the rear? Could I splice into that for key on power? Any advice would be extremely appreciated. And yes please save the buy a tech model stuff, I clearly don't have one, and its a nice cheap add on for the car, thank you.

 

Wire it to the rear tail lights.. you only need it on when you are in reverse anyways.. unless you are like some of the idiots here that would like to have it on while driving forward
