Hello friends. Looking to replace the rear speakers in my 2009 TL
ive scoured the internet and cannot find a single video or how to describing what I need to do to change these speakers.

you will need to remove your back seat first before you can get to the deck lid. Here’s a how to link

As mentioned above:
1) You will need to remove the back seat (Get a friend to help for the back rest.., trust me)
2) You will need to remove the plastic trim on the insides of the rear pillars. There is a disposable clip on each side that will need to be replaced for re-ssembly, You can get the replacement clips at the dealer. To get the old clips to release, you need to tap the plastic panels in a specific place with a rubber mallet (Google it)
3) you will need to remove the plastic rear deck (lots of clips accessible from inside the trunk by removing the carpeted cover under the rear deck)
Yes, you can do it.
No, it will not be fun.
...and by the way, if by chance you are considering this because you hear a rattling noise when the bass hits and think the speakers are blown, They are NOT. It's a common issue that the thin metal rear deck cracks around the center subwoofer speaker and makes a rattling noise that sounds just like a blown speaker.
