TSX to a TL?

I am considering a CPO 2010 TL Tech with about 61k miles for about 20K. My 2007 TSX runs great, but just looking for more features, etc.

Am i headed for trouble with maintenance, etc on this TL? My TSX I feel like I could drive it for 10 years and not have to spend any money. It has about 52k miles on it.

Thanks for your valuable input. New to the TL land...

So you are going for a car 3 years newer but 11k more miles?

I like the TL, they are more car than a TSX that is for sure. However, I would get a 2012+TL with like 20-30K miles, if I was upgrading.

You didn't mention if your TSX is a V6 or not.

Although my previous car was a 99 TL the newer generations would not be my cup-o-tea if not for the SH-AWD. They are very heavy! In FWD trim I would prefer the TSX-V6.

Got a use 2011 tsx last year. I have noticed TL and TSX prices have been plummeting since the introduction of the TLX. Unless you're getting an incredible deal, I wouldn't get a TL

2007 is the first gen TSX so it only came in 4 cylinder.

I jumped from a 2004 Acura TSX with 200,000km to my 2009 TL with 70,000km. It's quite the jump and it's amazing, however expect gas to be a bit more. I think that's the only complaint I have. TSX was reliable and I had no issues. I don't think I have any issues with my TL. I mean I am worried about the torque converter but that's about it.

I ended up test driving it. Yes, it drives smoother and has more kick. The navigation warning about an unverified area 4 or 5 times was annoying. I hated the controls as well.

In the end. Going to keep my TSX. I was hoping the TL stereo was decent...but i should have known. I upgraded all the speakers in my TSX and added an amp and a sub. It just sounds good and i dont want to start over.

Plus i would gain a payment as well. Glad i drove it.

I would be surprised if you drove a SH-AWD. But I'm assuming you didn't... and for that reason I'd prob stick with TSX.

If you drove a SH-AWD and punched it a bit (esp on some on/off ramps) you'd quickly become a fan.

If it was a 6MT SH-AWD you'd have bought it on the spot.

I think the TSX buyers and TL buyers are quite different.
The TL does feel heavy and if one like the lighter feeling of the TSX, they would not like the TL.

Yea, I like the TSX a lot. I guess I have the "I want a new car" syndrome.

The TL was nice, but it wasn't that clean of a car either. I would have to upgrade the stereo as well.

It had a lot of power compared to the TSX, and it handled well, but I just cant see spending 20k on this, when my car is paid for. I am almost glad my car is salvage title, because if it wasn't, it makes it easier to trade in...As it is, I would have to put up the 7 or 8k, finance the rest, then sell the TSX.

Maybe I just need a brand new car.....

That new car itch is a killer.
Don't get me wrong, I love my TL but from a financial sense, it would have been a smarter thing to have kept my old car.

04 TL-> 11 Ody -> 12 TL
Sometimes, I think I should have kept the 04 TL as it only had 40k when I traded it in. Oh well....

I went from a '10 TSX V6 Tech to a '12 TL Advance. Loved the TSX V6 but the TL is simply a better car in so many areas. No regrets here.

It's always nice when you don't have a car payment. I'm in that happy place myself right now.

I personally prefer the TL over the TSX, but that is because I like the bigger exterior stance, and roomy interior, of the TL over the TSX. For my taste even the TLX is too small on the exterior.

In the end, you seem to have made the best decision for you. When that new car bug hits me again, I will be shopping for the even bigger RLX or whatever it's called by then.
