Timing Belt Change cost

I'm coming up on the 105k mileage marker and will need to change timing belt, plugs, coolant, oil change, etc. What does everyone pay for this service? I have an acura tech willing to charge me 700 for all in. Thoughts?

ranges from $400-1200 depending on who you go to.
if you are happy with $700, as that may be your only choice...go for it!!!

I just had my timing belt changed and spark plugs replaced on my FWD 2013 Acura TL costed me $1,500 at my local Acura Dealer. My car only had 84k at the time of the job. Now I'm at 85k. I did it early cause with this pandemic going on I couldn't let it go any longer as I rack up miles quickly. They gave me a 2019 Acura TLX Advanced Package FWD V6 as my loaner.

Confirm exactly what "700 for all in" means and if it is in fact all in, it sounds like a pretty good deal. Just make sure you both have a common understanding of all in.

$700 "ALL IN" sounds like Labor only. Especially at the dealership. OP what is the parts cost? $650? I don't know anyone willing to do all of that for $50 lmao

Pretty much if you pay someone to do a complete job (with water pump)

1. Indy shop: $500-600 with Aisin parts.
2. Honda dealer: $800
3. Acura dealer: $1000-$1200

If you know and trust the Acura tech (like a friend), you could go to him. But I imagine there would be no warranty (or just verbal).

I just did timing belt service on our 2013 TL FWD - $1015 was the dealer price and I added spark plugs replacement as well. It came out to $1250+tax -ish

$700 sounds about right for all of that. You might can risk it by going to an indy mechanic for less but if an acura tech will do it all for $700 i'd take it. is that with parts included? if so it's about what I paid to a family friend. The Timing belt isn't a cheap job really. I don't know what quality indy you can find willing to do it for less

I was given $1465 for the timing belt/water pump combo, I’d rather not at this point. Does brand really matter on the parts, or do ai use the P2R parts for it? Dealership trying to commit robbery at this point.

Not sure what "P2R" parts are but the Aisin kit is the OEM kit without the "Honda" logo and emblems on the parts.

I paid $1,400 at the dealership for my timing belt and spark plugs. If you think that's robbery the Nissan Dealer quoted my fiance $2,000 and up to replace her timing chain on a 2008 Nissan Maxima. They said the engine was whining due to play in the timing chain guides.

Power Rev Racing has some aftermarket parts related to the timing belt, none of them Aisin. As far as highway robbery is concerned, I haven't had to deal with a dealer in ages and forgot how bad their prices actually are.
