Synthetic Oil II

Changed oil today with a stock honda filter and Mobil 1 Advanced full synthetic oil oh ya and tire rotation. Question if I was going to get another kind of full synthetic oil over at Walmart which one of these two other options should I get Castrol or Pennzoil full synthetics?

For whatever reason I had consumption issues in my last 3 acura vehicles with mobil one synthetic. Switching brands didn't completely eliminate the issue, but there was a noticeable change in consumption amounts. I was using pennzoil ultra, but since that was reformulated and "downgraded" compared to the original formula, I just use pennzoil platinum now.

Pennzoil Platinum it is my next oil change I will use that and another stock honda filter I used Pennzoil before in my other cars did not have a problem but the Mobil 1 I dont know with the post I've been reading and noticing the difference in my car I think it's time for a change back to Pennzoil.

At Walmart, Pennzoil is probably your best choice.

Nope

[QUOTE=amill;15229925]are you using the small stock honda filter, or the stock

No I put the small stock honda filter on and used mobil 1 Advanced Synthetic when I changed my oil this weekend and rotated the tires.I had a mobil 1 synthetic oil filter on it before and mobil 1 extended performance oil in it . The mobil 1 oil filter was small like the small stock honda filter and I did not like it it was sweating like it had oil on it collecting dust and it had a slight oil drip after awhile I dont think I was getting good flow through the mobil filter. The stock filter (the small honda one) that's on it now I will keep an eye on if this does the same thing im going to get the bigger stock honda filter and see what happens with that one. I think im not sure but I think after 2002 they started using the smaller honda filter for all their vehicles. Maybe for the 3.7 Acura engine the bigger stock honda filter is the way to go first lets see what happens with this one.

I use the K&N filters, simply because removing them is sometimes a pain in the ass. So the 1/2" nut on the end of the filter is good to have sometimes.
