When i first bought my tl ...when i put it in reverse both mirrors would tilt down. ...the other day i went to adjust the mirrors ......now when i put the car in reverse once its position on L just the left mirror tilts...when its on R just the right mirror tilts....when the nob is positioned in the middle no mirror tilts.....Did i broke it? ....how can i fix this so both mirror tilts at the same time....HELP!....

 

On my 2009 TL, it only lowers 1 mirror when in reverse.

 

I have a 2012 SH-Awd and it's the same thing. I don't believe both mirrors will tilt when you're backing up. You can only select either left or right.

Only 1 side mirror (either left or right) will be tilted down when the transmission is put into reverse, provided that the mirror switch is not in the center position.

My cousin have a 05 TL amd both of hers move. ...

I can confirm the third gen TL's only having one mirror point down in reverse.

 

This feature is described in the manual; there's really no need for any discussion on whether it's working properly. In 4G, only one mirror will tilt on reverse, and then only when the switch is set to the corresponding side.

OP, if you had both mirrors tilting, and now only one does, then congratulations; your car was broken, but now it's fixed.

On another note, IMHO, it would be a rare set of circumstances where having both tilt is a benefit. On a bigger vehicle, like an SUV, I could see the benefit, but not on our little whips.
