hey everyone. I have a 2012 TL Elite SHAWD. Over the past few weeks I seem to have some strange electrical issues happening.

Initially, it seemed like the battery was dead. I couldn't unlock the doors with my fob, and the interior lights and dash did NOT light up when I opened the door. Sometimes waiting a minute or two would solve the issue. I had the battery tested numerous times, and it checked out fine

Now more and more (sometimes all day and sometimes every few days) I get prompted for the Radio Code before I can gain access to NAV and Stereo features

Additionally, prior to that ALL of the following lights have been coming up on every start (without fail)
- CHECK ABS SYSTEM
- CHECK HILLSTART ASSIST SYSTEM
- CHECK VSA SYSTEM

One person I spoke to suggested the lights may be due to Speed Sensors . Aftermarket code scanner showed 81-01

I am wondering if it is one big issue, or 2 separate (unrelated) issues

Any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated

Have you replaced the battery? Are the battery connections nice and tight? Low battery issues can cause a ton of issues.

Yeah, no matter what the battery test is telling you, just replace it. It will solve so many headaches with these cars.
