Radio Code Message Came on Unexpectedly

I have a 2012 TSX Wagon and I know the radio will require a code if you disconnect the battery, but I have not done so, and this morning when I started the car, the screen said I needed to enter the radio code. Any idea why it would ask for this? The only thing that happened the day before was my XM radio was disabled as my free 3 month period had expired. Could that have disrupted the electrical system in the radio long enough to prompt the code? I'm just wondering if I have an electrical problem with the car and need to take it to the dealer.

Thanks,
JC9999

no, the xm is subscription based. they just cut subscription.

check battery cable. both positive and negative. make sure not corroded, and is on tight.

Radio Code Message Came on Unexpectedly

Unfortunately the battery connections look fine, at least on the battery side. Maybe the connection is loose at the radio side but I wouldn't know where to find that. I went ahead and reset the code and if it happens again I guess I will see what the dealer has to say about it.

Thanks,
JC
