Purchasing a TL

Purchasing a TL
I'm about 99.9% sure I'm going to purchase a 2012 TL (advance & tech package) < 8K miles, lotta car for the money. Any suggestions. Audi has just about forced me out of their market when you start adding extras, so it look like I'm leaving the Germans for a while. Price is right with the Audi trade-in just wondering about all the electronics and there reliability after 3 or 4 years.
Dealer also trying to sell me the 7/100,000 Acura Care package.

Although I've only owned my 2010 SH-AWD for two years now and it is my first Honda/Acura product, I have had not one issue with the automobile thus far.
When I shop for a car, reliability is #1 for me. Don't have time to be without a car and visiting the dealer. So I am confident in the choice I made.
And anything is going to be better for reliability than the German counterparts. The Audi's are great looking cars, but looks only go so far!

I have to agree with mst that when it comes to long term reliability, Acura is pretty hard to beat and maybe not wise to invest in an extended warranty. There a few things that will go wrong with the TL but usually those are dealt with while still under warranty (rattles etc). That being said, if you want total piece of mind, you can always buy an extended warranty ... your call at this point
Make sure you come back and post pics if/when you buy

I am on my 4th TL. I owned the first 3 until they had over 100,000 miles on them (2 had over 120,000). I normally had each for 3 1/2 years. Almost no issues with anything! Nothing electronic. The other real advantage was the high resale value.

Is this a CPO car? If it is you get an extra 1 year/12k miles to the original warranty. check this out:

it's pretty pointless to pay extra money for the 7 years/100,000miles.
if you want peace of mind make sure to check other threads for warranty price, I think people are paying around 1k for the 7yr/100k miles.

I would say go tech. I really don't care about the Nav either but the tech package offers more features like the els sound system, bluetooth connectivity, etc..

The '12 base does have bluetooth. I just had a base as a loaner while my '11 tech was having an oil, filter, and tire rotation. To be honest, have just driven the base, I did not find it as appealing as the tech. The thing I missed the most was the rear view camera.

I have an SH-AWD tech and as much as I love the AWD (especially since I live in the NE), if I had to choose between the two I'd get tech every time as a DD. Have you tried to park a 4G TL without the use of the backup camera? It's fking impossible to look out the back window and you'll almost certainly curb your wheels; I also rely on the tilting mirrors. Not to mention the convience of having the in dash Nav and perforated leather!

I started off looking just for a base TL but with the additions you get with the Tech package, its a no-brainer... Nav, Rear camera on full screen, HDD, ELS system, keyless push button start etc for probably an additional 1-1.5k on a CPO car... Also the Spoiler in the back (for the cam) looks cool ..
