Our '09 showing some brake issues, anyone else?

Our 09 now every time it sits for a while and we want to start it, the brake pedal is solid as a rock and hard to press to start the car. Have to really press it hard to make it move down a little. My 2012 does not do this and any previous Acura. I already talked to the dealer when it was in last and they noticed it but blew me off. Going to talk to them again but I am worried about the car having some brake issues happening. Only 34k miles on it, and all pads have tons of life left.

What happens if you drive it often? Does the problem go away? Maybe check you brake fluid? Don't think your pads would have to do with a stiff brake pedal.

Sounds like something is pressurizing the system.

I'd have the dealer check all four calipers too and see if there is anything getting stuck.

Brake booster maybe..

It is driven about 60 miles a day. Everytime it sits for a while and we go back out to it, it does it now. Every time. So overnight, or after sitting 5-6 hours.

Fluid looks good, pads still look new.

We are trying to get the dealer to do something but they keep blowing us off on this. We scheduled again in 2 weeks to take it back. They are trying to say this is normal when it's not.

We only have one locally. And the next one is in Austin, 100 miles away. Not gonna happen.

Car at dealer again and they are fighting me. Car has a brake booster problem and the dealer is saying we are pumping the gas to cause it to happen when we are not doing so. car sits overnight and is hard as a rock. I told the SM that and he still thinks we are pumping it. LOL. I said our other TL doesn't do it. My friend that is a mechanic said he has seen this issue and it's the Brake Booster valve that holds the pressure. It's releasing all the pressure overnight and causing the pedal to be hard in the morning where we can't press it.

I am so pissed right now at this dealer trying to say this stuff. May have to pay out of pocket with my friend to fix this.

my 06 avalon did that every once in a while, usually only when really cold, like 10 degrees or less outside. Dealer had it for a day and couldn't find anything wrong. It would loosen up as soon as the car was started. I figured it had something to do with having to hold the brake while starting the car, probably don't have this issue on cars that still start with a key
